Glass & Mirror Cleaner

1 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar

1/2 cup water

9 drops citrus essential oil (lemon, lime or sweet orange) optional, but they smell so good!

Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake to blend. Spray on.  Wipe off and polish with a clean cotton rag.

Note:  If you have used commercial window cleaners over the years there will be a build-up of wax on your windows.  Vinegar alone won't remove this residue.  So, the first time you use the Glass & Mirror Cleaner you will have to wash the window or mirror first with a few drops of liquid dish detergent on a damp sponge.  Wipe dry and then use the Glass & Mirror Cleaner.  From this point on you will only need the Glass & Mirror Cleaner for your windows!

Tea Tree Oil Mold & Mildew Remover

This simple spray is awesome at eradicating mold and mildew!

2 teaspoons tea tree oil

2 cups water

Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle*, shake to blend and spray on problem areas.  Do not rinse.  The strong odor will dissipate in a day or so.  Makes 2 cups.

Note: This is also a good deodorizer.  If the medicinal smell is too strong for you, add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the solution.

*I would recommend using a glass spray bottle. Although pure essential oils will not go rancid, they do oxidize, deteriorate, and lose some of their beneficial properties over time. Using a glass spray bottle (preferably a cobalt  blue or dark brown one) will help  to keep out the sunlight and to preserve your essential oil blend longer than a plastic container. Keeping your sprays in a cool location or a fridge also helps to preserve their potency.

Happy Cleaning to you!
